How is focusing with S lenses?

It works fine. But it is slow compared to FF L-mount lenses. Actually, I would think I use manual focus on S-bodies 50 percent of the time, and even more often on SLx (when using S-lenses). And I always use focus magnification on tripod. In this way, I know that the focus is correct. The S-lenses are (still) brilliant, although not as optically perfect as eg the SL-primes. An important advantage with the mirrorless bodies is the use of the electronic shutter. This pretty much eliminates vibration, resulting in extraordinary sharp images. Furthermore, eg S180 doesn't have a counterpart in the L-mount landscape (yet), so it complemets the L-system nicely.

Thank you! It was f8. I really love the Summilux M for it‘s 3D pop and bokeh. And it’s easy to focus on the SL3.

Before the game, there are interviews between the coaches and the broadcaster. So, while photographing the FC St Pauli coach, someone jumps in front of my lens. But the SL3's autofocus didn't let that bother it. Taken with the SL3 & 90-280mm

Today I went to Queens Hospital in Romford, as you  go in, you will find a grand piano. There was a gentleman playing it. I asked him if it would be okay if I took some pictures of him and he had no problem with that.

I started talking to him and he told me that he is a volunteer. He pops in three times a week to play the piano. His name is Colin, he is 77 years old he is a very “special” person.

He told me that when he was seven years old, he was institutionalised for 15 years, and that is where he learn to play. So if you find yourself at the hospital pop over and say hi.

This is why I was looking forward to the SL3... my SL2-S can't produce black and white images like this with the same clarity and microcontrast.  It's the one thing I miss about the SL2, which I sold because I wasn't happy with the low light performance.

Apologies for including all the previous photos, I don't know how to quote without having the images attached.
