Given the focal length, the Sigma 500 is a very small and low weight lens. With very good optical image stabilisation, so 1/60 s shutter speed works fine (sometimes ok down to 1/15 s, although 1/60 s is safer). Also excellent image quality with the Leica SL 1.4 extender. lightsourcekauai Posted May 14, 2024 Share #573 Posted May 14, 2024 (edited) On my way back to the parking lot I found some surfers in the lineup so I thought I would do an impromptu test of the autofocus tracking capabilities of the SL3. I found that AFc and field focus worked best. I tried a few tracking with the various tracking profiles-- Wildlife, Runner, Team Sports, Children Pets, but found that all of those caused the focus area to jump to the water/waves, almost always leaving the surfer behind. Definitely more tests are needed, but certainly improvements can be made-- both on my part and on the camera's tracking/sticking capabilities. Leica 90-280 Welcome, dear visitor!
