I just published a review of two new lenses from Light Lens Lab at PetaPixel:  https://petapixel.com/2024/03/05/light-lens-lab-1966-50mm-f-1-2-and-spii-50mm-f-2-review-rare-lenses-recreated/

The lenses are re-creations of historic lenses from Leica and Cooke. I suspect both will be very popular for photographers.  Tony Rose, is the U.S. distributor at PopFlash in Southern California (www.popflash.com).  I do not have any financial or consulting relationships with either company.  I am a retired optometrist who enjoys optics and photography.

Enjoy.

Be well,

Clickable sample shots would be nice.
For me the bokeh looks not very smooth in the small samples.

Anybody knows how the aperture blades form the bokeh highlights from 2.8 to 5.6?

The Summilux Asph produces very ugly sawtooth formst highlights.

The reference books used to write the article have now been added to the end of the article for readers to go deeper in their understanding of Leica optics. Erwin Puts was a guiding light into analysis of camera optics.
