Â i will be concentrating on Leica/Panasonic/Oly for info on new products and all 4/3'rds system information. Â i have some recommendations for Leica: include photoshop elements 4.0 for mac and 6.0 for pc in the bundle. make the D3 body out of metal like the m series. have online live chat support. When the Digilux-3 was launched, Photoshop Elements was version 4 (Mac) and 5 (PC). Meanwhile version 6 is available for PC. Voigtlaender - Die offizielle Homepage - Ultra Wide Heliar 12 mm It is rectilinear, orthoscopic, and... fantastic ! I feel the viewfinder a bit trashy/minimalist, but it doesn't really matter : the other eye, right or left, is always up, on and out, for a better control of the scene I must say also that to compare to the summicron 2/28 Asph., one may consider too much fringing, but there are other reasons to feel tons of happiness with this lens. I have used one for three years and found it to be very sharp and I was amazed at how distortion free it is compared to older UWAs. It is not a compact lens, with its 72mm filter size. Yes, the mirror will hit the lens, but in practice, this doesn't seem to be a problem even though it's not a very desirable consequence, because the mirror doesn't move very far before it makes contact. As a result, it doesn't have time to gain much momentum so when it does make it contact with the lens, it's a fairly soft hit. I must have at least 300 exposures using this setup by now and, as I said, I have experienced no problems due to it whatsoever. Â On the positive side, the Voigtlander lens is quite a good performer once it's stopped down to f/8-f/11 ... the corners are a bit soft at f/5.6 and the whole image starts to become soft at f/16 because diffraction effects are beginning to appear. Â FWIW, the Nikon F version of the Voigtlander 12mm lens has been discontinued for a while now but used ones certainly exist and there may be NOS ones on a dealer's shelves somewhere in the world. As I've pointed out previously, it does makes more sense to buy an Olympus 11-22 zoom than this lens, but if you're looking for a lens that's also quite compact -- say, for turning the L1/D3 into a street shooter -- then this is it.
