However - note that that window exists soley to backlight the framelines (thus the "frosted" translucent glass). It is not really a part of the rangefinding/focusing process, which use the larger window (at right in your photo) and the much smaller window (out of frame on the left, beyond the silver screwhead). It may (or may not) cause uneven frameline brightness (esp. at "50" mm) - but should not affect focusing on its own. It may warrant a more detailed check of the rest of the camera, just to see if there are other, more important, signs of water/moisture damage. 1 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
