@Pelu2010, I don't know the European distributor but when I emailed LLL ( lightlenslabna@gmail.com ) they were responsive. Perhaps they can assist you.

I verified with Tony at PopFlash that ALL of the Light Lens Lab L-M adapters have the misalignment issue I posted here. So I need to send mine back until replacements are available. Allegedly that will be the end of this month.

Hope you are able to get one- from the new batch.

Hi, I was able to get one without missalignment. I am using it on the SL2-s. It works perfect and is much fun. It took LLL 3 Month to deliver the adapter.

Many of my Leica lenses are now macro lenses too. And some of the adapter Nikon and Olympus Lenses also benefit from the minimal focus distance.

I would love if we could get a M to M adapter with this helicoid. Like a macro helicoid. In the end the Leica Q does the same trick. It's a helicoid inside of the lens.

cheers Peter and thanks

The challenge with that is that you need some space to build the adapter, so the thickness of the adapter will already push your focus closer by that amount. What you wind up building is a focusing extension tube, not an adapter. So while you gain close focus, you give up focusing to infinity. How close to infinity you can focus will depend on the thickness of the adapter and the focal length, but ultimately it is not a super practical solution. Leica has tried to address this by introducing closer focusing versions of their lenses, but that is obviously a very expensive solution. If you must focus closer than the lens allows with M lenses, the most practical solution is one of these helicoid adapters on an L mount camera because the shorter base length of the sensor to the mount allows for the thickness required to build an adapter with a helicoid that also can focus to infinity. You need an EVF or live view to focus anyway, as the RF uncouples around .7m.

Apparently the LLL adapter will focus to infinity at the expense of the nearer end of the close focus range.  Other helicoids sacrifice infinity focusing for getting closer.

Well - just received my LLL Helicoid Adapter and I'm delighted.  It's beautifully made and smooth as silk.  It also pairs interestingly with my close focus 50 Lux on the SL2.  We're not in macro territory, but it does make it possible to focus on detail in ways which would not be possible with the one lens.  Examples below.  A grey day in Cumbria.  The office window looks up to Shap (one of the highest passes on the Pennines in Northern England for those who don't know it.

Conclusion - the LLL M to L adapter is a useful little device which makes M lenses even more useful on L mount.

Add an ELPRO 3 and you really are moving towards a useable macro.  If the Lumix 100 is 1:1, the 50 Luc close focus + LLL + ELPRO is getting close to 1:2.  Useful to have in the bag.  The SL2 + 50 is a nice walk around set up.  The LLL is a real world enhancement of this if you want to pick out detail, and the ELPRO can always be in a pocket!

I'm aware that WB is all over the place - I was just concentrating on focusing...  ALSO - n.b. different OOF areas are related to the variable curvature of the CD cover.

And of course if you really want to, using the 35mm Fotiodiox Macro Tube can take you to truly silly places...
