Pyrogallol Posted February 11, 2024 Share #3 Posted February 11, 2024 (edited) Remembering Peter Grisaffi, specialist Leica repairman who died just after Christmas, and also my friend Mike. I bought the M3 and Summicron in this picture in the early 70's, part-exchanged them with Mike in the late 70's for his Minolta equipment. He had them for the next 40 years. When he died a couple of years ago they came back to me and Peter serviced them for me. Peter serviced two Leica Standards for me, the one in the picture and the one used to take this picture with a Visoflex 2 and 65mm Elmar that Peter serviced. Also in the picture is a Nikon S that Peter serviced and rebuilt for me. He replaced the shutter blinds with Leica blinds that he modified to fit. While rebuilding the camera he said that he had broken 4 half-millimetre drills drilling out some screw holes that needed work. I also have Mike's M2, Canon 7 and several large format cameras/lenses. Sadly missed. Copy of a darkroom print, Foma 400 in Tanol. Welcome, dear visitor! ejd Posted February 12, 2024 Share #4 Posted February 12, 2024 A camera I bought around 1966, an Agfa Super Silette, with some photographs taken with it in the late 1960s and early 1970s (actual prints on paper that I made in a darkroom at the time). It was the second camera I had ever bought, and it was the last one I bought until 1998 Leica IIIg with a 90mm f4 Elmar, Visoflex II, OUAGO focusing mount and OTQNO close focus tube. Kodak iso 400 colour print film, desaturated. Cropped a bit. Welcome, dear visitor! Doug A Posted February 13, 2024 Share #6 Posted February 13, 2024 Fisher Body Craftsman's Guild - This was my entry in the Fisher Body Craftsman's Guild competition in 1958. The design and all of the work were mine but my father provided a lot of advice, help in tracking down of materials and encouragement. It was the last project we worked on together.
