elansprint72 Posted August 23, 2006 Share #3 Posted August 23, 2006 Gerd, Thanks for bring this one over from the German forum; we need more superb car shots like this over here where we are suffering from a rash of rather dull record shots. Nice to see some creative art. Cheers, Pete.
stuny Posted August 23, 2006 Share #4 Posted August 23, 2006 Gerd - Not only very well seen and executed, but automatically appealing to me since I so like this Pininfarina design, and always have. This could be the best use of butresses in auto design ever.

Guest flatfour Posted August 24, 2006 Share #6 Posted August 24, 2006 I had a Ferrari dealership for a brief while and ran a red Dino 246 in 1973. It was the most unreliable car I ever owned, but it never totally let me down. I had a journey of 180 miles to the Dealership which I did twice a week and I never made the journey without something stopping working or falling off. It was a lovely car to look at but was I pleased to get back into my 911. They sold very well and we always had a waiting list. They are worth a lot now but I would never have one again. I just could not put up with that unreliability. My 1933 Alvis Speed 20 was totally reliable but I didn't do such long journeys although I am sure it would have performed at least as well. As I said a lovely creatue but unreliable - just like some females.
