nice to see that godox is developing new flash triggers. But why is this available for Nikon, Canon, Sony, Fuji and OM and not Leica? It’s not like they haven’t done a flash trigger for Leica. It can’t be that complicated, or?

Nice trigger, I will probably get one for my Sony which would replace one of the older triggers. I like the USB C charging which would be nice to have. Hopefully they will bring out a Leica version in the near future.

Perhaps the trigger was not a commercial success. Moreover, I reckon the released trigger is not compatible with the M11 due to the internal changes with metering of the M11 vs the M10-R

if everyone here goes out to buy it now, maybe they will put in the time to make a compatible one for all the Leica.

But it has been complicated to get to this point, I would suggest Leica calls it quit on selling rebranded flash and adopt the Nikon or Panasonic protocol in all future cameras.

The SF40 and SF60 are not great flashes in today's age. they are old and need a refresh anyway.

to reinforce the argument, Profoto and Godox have not brought out a Leica mount flash. to difficult? to little return? Or does it mean that Leica photographers don't use light, or they never had great choices so they never learn to use flash? In any case, it is time to fix it!

I am using https://godox.eu/product/godox-x2t-3/ for fuji on my sl2 for triggering ad200pro in manual mode. Sure it's a workaround and I need to "refresh" by pressing the flash button on the trigger because it will lose connection with the body after about 20/30sec and I have not tried ttl/hss as i dont need to. However https://godox.eu/product/xprol-ii-ttl-wireless-flash-trigger-for-leica/ is available for Leica, but I do hope xnano will be available at some point.

I have contacted godox eu and currently they don't have a plan to release/develop Xnano model for leica 😕

I am using the xpro L II and it works good. 
And if more user write to Godox I bet they get excited. So hurry! 
 

Regarding the Leica rebranded speedlights : that’s the point. If they had something of a luxurious feeling or where innovative, but they are rebranded and expensive. 
 

They work good and do the job. 
 

I would love to see an expert joining Leica and helping them to think about something new regarding flash photography.

as far as I know the Godox trigger for Leica is "reversed engineered" whereas Profoto is a real collaboration

Well the it sound good if it’s reversed engineered. And it works good too.

I also use the X-Pro L II and it works great with the Q3, even with Godox not listing it as compatible.

Godox X3 the letter L.

I think they already made the web site because
the X3 for the Leica will be ready in couple of months...

I use Godox XProII-L on my Leica SL2-S and it works perfect
with my Godox A1 and Godox TT600.
I will try this combination also on my Leica M9 Monochrom and report 
here the results ...

Anyone know if the Nikon version of the Godox X3 trigger will work with Leica Q/Q2 in manual mode? Not looking for TTL necessarily.
