I had to remind myself where St Paul is as in my imagination the Mississipi is way down south (sorry, I am a Brit, after all). We had one guy who went for a swim many times during the winter, and used to love to race down streams in the winter, breaking the ice on the surface as he ran. Here is an old pic - we noticed he was about to dive in, so we opened the window and yelled, "No Swimming!".
