Q3 Battery Drains in Storage

I'm finding that my Q3 battery drains while it's stored (over a few weeks time).  Anyone else having that problem?  Is there any way to prevent that or to reduce the battery drain?

Batteries will always drain as the rechargeable battery keeps the internal battery, and therefore memory of settings, live. The same applies to a car. What you can do is to make sure everything is turned off, like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Fotos to not wake the camera up. If you don't use Fotos then there's little reason to have Wi-Fi or Bluetooth activated.

Of course you could enjoy using the camera more often and have an excuse to keep recharging the battery!

Batteries stored for longer periods age best when about half full. Leaving it unused and fully charged for weeks is probably as bad as leaving it completely empty. Otherwise I would not mind to much. Always take a freshly charged extra battery when you go out to shoot.

I have noticed the same issue with my Leica Q3. The battery drains quite quickly while it's stored in the camera. I can charge it fully, but it becomes empty after a few weeks of staying in the camera.

You can wake up the camera remotely even if it is completely switched off. Try setting the connectivity to OFF in the Leica FOTOS menu.
