M11 for me Posted January 2, 2024 Share #2 Posted January 2, 2024 Most beautiful image. Gorgeous light. Is that the camera or Lightroom? 😇

Is that the camera or Lightroom? 😇 I'm not sure quite what you mean: tongue in cheek or serious? Perhaps I'm a bit slow! Anyway, I checked the original file: it is flatter, a bit lighter, and a lot warmer (in white balance) than this one. A steep contrast curve accounts for much of the effect, but it shows the scene more or less as I saw it. Another one taken at the same time was similar in final colours but a weaker composition, and was initially underexposed.
M11 for me Posted January 2, 2024 Share #4 Posted January 2, 2024 (edited) Thank you very much. I find the colors and that light in the face absolutely beautiful. I was very serious. But with my remark then you might be right when you call it cheaky. I did not want to be bold. With the M11I have rarely such beautiful colors and lights in that difficult environment. But I have no SL2. That is why I wondered if the SL2 can really be that much better in rendering colors and contrasts than my M11. Or else it must be LR. To me a very nice photograph. I was just unsure what you were asking. That was shot at ISO 25,000, 1/80s, f/5.6. I used Lightroom's AI Denoise, but the colours are genuine. At that ISO I think the camera's performance is exceptionally good for both noise and colour. Another time I took this shot from one end of the chapel to the other with the 90-280SL at 280mm, ISO 25,000 and 1/8s handheld (but with my elbow on a railing). I couldn't really see the singer with my eye, and the EVF was very laggy. A combined credit to the Apo lens, OIS, IBIS, the low light performance of the body, and Lightroom's AI Denoise! (and a bit of AI masking on the figure). Welcome, dear visitor!
