Me, I really want Q3M to be a little deferent than "color" Q3, keeping camera body with non-flip-flop-tilling screen. Covered with sapphire glass. Q3's digital processor, higher resolution viewfinder, usb-c. All I need. 35mm lens is a dream, unfortunately. Advertisement Posted December 26, 2023 Posted December 26, 2023 Hi mhasman, Take a look here Let's talk Q3 Monochrom. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
robsonj Posted December 26, 2023 Share #2 Posted December 26, 2023 I mean, there isn’t much to talk about is there, it’ll be a as Q3 with the Bayern filter removed, blacked out, and more expensive?

To nitpick: the color filter array is not named after the German state or soccer club (Bayern) but after Bryce Bayer (Bayer filter).
Miltz Posted December 26, 2023 Share #4 Posted December 26, 2023 There’s not much to speculate here. Following Leica’s history the Q3 Monochrome will be the Q3 without the Bayer filter. It will be one of the best low light sensors on the market, with a discrete body. Boring answer, I know. Imagining upgrades to the Q3 mono beyond the obvious will leave you very disappointed. By the time the Q3 mono comes out the Q3 firmware will be much more mature so that will be the best upgrade possible and a more refined camera experience.
