I might have assumed the same about cropping since it is very rare for a photographer to feel comfortable about getting this tight on a subject. Recently I’ve read remarks about phones being less intrusive and intimidating than cameras, I find that strange because I’ve yet to meet someone who reacts badly to a lump of metal and glass. My technique for what it’s worth is to take a few shots maybe torso upwards or full length and then say ‘I’m going to get quite close, is that OK?’ So far, I have yet to get a refusal and people seem to like what they see on the back of the camera. 3 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
