LJLars Posted November 27, 2023 Share #1 Posted November 27, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi. I'll try to explain this in english. I have a film Leica CL. I wonder if it is common that the back flexes, makes a small gap, when you push it, just up right at the edge of the solid part of the camera body. This is were it meets the body and the part that gives a little is the part that you take off when changing film. /Fredrik SWEDEN
Advertisement Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 Hi LJLars, Take a look here Leica CL question. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
dpitt Posted November 27, 2023 Share #2 Posted November 27, 2023 As long as it does not leak light, this sounds normal. There is a fraction of a mm play on mine, and I never had an issue with light leaks. If you want mechanical perfection, look at the M models of that period. The CL is a compromise on more than one aspect... size, RF accuracy, VF, weight and solidity. But that makes it special, and you can not see any of that on the picture it can take. 250swb Posted November 27, 2023 Share #3 Posted November 27, 2023 When I had one it did ‘flex’ a little but not much.
