Daneland Posted November 27, 2023 Share #1 Posted November 27, 2023 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) It has been a month since I bought a second hand Q2, I still cant get my head around its focusing. I just want to check if this is the standard behaviour of the camera. If not I need to get this sorted while I have the warranty. The camera acquires the focus only if I press half the shutter button on photography mode( function key is set for exposure lock). No matter what mode it is single or continuous, field, spot... Unless I push the shutter half, it does not move the focus from where it was. On the video mode, once the video recording started it focuses as expected, it acquires the focus quickly, when the focus area is moved somewhere else, the lens adjust the focus to the new area. I do remember there was a setting for my X100V and it prevented it to follow the focus as the scene is changed. I kept it this way as the camera constantly trying to hunt the focus. I cant see anything like this and could not find anything in the manual. Thanks in advance. Edited November 27, 2023 by Daneland
