M262 freezes

Hello,

My Leica M262 freezes after a few minutes. I can't take any more photos or press any buttons. Everything works again after turning it off and on. In the viewfinder, I see three lines at the bottom when I press the shutter release.

What could be the issue?

I use a San disk extreme Pro. 
 

Since it’s happened twice today morning it’s stable so far…. Yesterday it was the same happened twice then doesn’t….

You don't say the SD capacity.

Not the M262 fault, in my experiences, SD card too "full", too many files on it or too big capacity SD card.

If you don't have another card, try formating in the M.

In your situation, I'd replace the SD card.

On the first day it also happened on a old 16gb sandisk. The second day it was with the new fast sandisk. 
both cards where freshly formatted.

Now I use 8/16/32 GB - (100MB/s) without any trouble.

Well,

two paths :

- clean the inside M - SD contacts and the SD cards

- ask assistance from Leica

 

Don't bother using fast/big SD card, though.

How the M262 "freezing" was resolved ?

I ask because I never had (untill now) the freezing and if one day this occurs I'd know why.

You’ll have to talk louder. He hasn’t been here in over 6 months.
