I have a couple of M lenses that don't have original rear caps. The OEM Leica caps just cost a fortune for what should cost a few dollars. Has anyone come across high quality caps that fit well and don't look out of place on an M lens? Attached pic is an example of my Tri-Elmar with a crummy looking aftermarket cap (bought as a demo and it's dead mint, but I hate the rear cap). Sorry if this put you to sleep... My favorite rear M cap as these modern caps are the only rear M cap with three prongs for LTM lens removing. I first discovered these rear cap when I bought Voigtländer LTM to M adapter ... I see some dealers selling them for twice what others are charging, with Leica's own shop somewhere in the middle of the range, at least in the UK. Some of the worst prices are on ebay. I was once looking for a shallow rear lens cap to replace the rather bulky original for my 90/4 Macro Elmar.
