stuny Posted November 11, 2023 Share #2 Posted November 11, 2023 Beautiful! Also far better than the photos I took of it.

ShrewWithPurpose Posted April 15, 2024 Share #4 Posted April 15, 2024 wow! Just wow. I am going to Banff next month. Was worried that using Q3 might not get great landscape. I do not need convinced. Stellar!!

NexusWave Posted August 29, 2024 Share #6 Posted August 29, 2024 Nice shot, @Stephen_C I’ll be in Argentina in November, and obviously, it’s on my list along with Buenos Aires and Iguazu Falls. I just saw this article: https://gowithguide.com/blog/tourism-in-argentina-statistics-2024-a-comprehensive-travel-guide-5706 It’s helpful, but firsthand experience is best. If you could share other must-visit places or any recommendations, that would be much appreciated. Cheers! 🍻
Stephen_C Posted August 29, 2024 Author Share #7 Posted August 29, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) Briefly, so as not to derail the thread too much: Patagonia is glorious—based somewhere like El Chaltén (from where there are some wonderful hikes). El Calafate is probably best for trips to Perito Moreno—but otherwise not particularly special. The Lake District (based somewhere like Bariloche—very touristy but a good centre) is good (but weather unpredictable!). Try to get to Valdivian rain forest walk at Llao Llao. Iguazu is unforgettable if there's plenty of water going over the falls. Try to visit both the Brazilian and Argentine sides if possible. Palermo in Buenos Aires is wonderful for an early morning walk—and also has some good places to eat. I hope those ideas, brief as they may be, are helpful. Argentina is a wonderful country and the people are very friendly. Stephen
