Wonderful!.  Though I have brown hyena photos I like, my spotted hyena photos are quite sub-par.

These are among the animals that I dislike the most, but your pictures are really awesome and make me change my mind!

Thanks Louis, appreciate your comments - Many people dislike Hyenas, rather unfairly IMO.

However they're extremely intelligent animals, with very strong family bonds. Also very flexible in their eating habits, being both efficient hunters & efficient scavengers.

While in Botswana, one evening, the largest hyena I ever saw ran through our outdoor dining area, but the camp manager drove it off by running after it, shouting and waving her arms.  The next morning, she found that the hyena had gone into her office and chewed up all her leather-bound books.
