digital Leica CM

I am a fan of Leica!

I had in the past a Leica CM Zoom.

Do you know if Leica intend to produce a "digital CM" ???

Leica are being very quiet about the details of what is intended. However big hints have been dropped about new M and R range models at Photokina 2008 together with an "X'. What that could be is anybody's guess.

I'd be one of the first to line up for such a release. Or even a real update of the Digilux 2 using the same form factor.

What about a Caplio GX 100 or a GR Digital ""a la Leica" ?
Absolutely, as I keep on saying ad nauseum, these are the camreras that Leica should have produced if they were an innovative company and had the R&D funds. And don't forget the Leica D-Lux 3, which is also a fine camera. Here's a D-Lux 3 picture, followd by one taken with the GR-D and another with the GX100:

If they've been listening, then Leica would have heard GRD and Digital CM mentioned in the same threads, posts and sentences for a year now, or is it two. Nice touch if Ricoh named their new 40mm converter CM-1.

I prefer using the LCD rather than a viewfinder because it facilities a "looser", more fluid shooting style.

Interesting viewpoint. I think its a real shame they didn't offer the same type of LCD that you get on the better Canon models, so you can flip it out and use it like a WLF.
