I would have followed suit, but am worried that they might attract too much attention in busy public places. So I opted for black. How do you guard against this problem? David I was very close to getting the black wood as well, then I thought the look would be similar to the Leica grip and JCC. Definitely from the future RRS version. As for safety, I do not have a strap, so I walk around with a black Oberwerth shoulder bag with magnetic snaps for quick access. When in Paris, an ugly shoulder bag from Moment or others. Advertisement Posted December 1, 2023 Posted December 1, 2023 Hi paul chiu, Take a look here JJC Arca Swiss Grip for Q3. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
David Wien Posted December 1, 2023 Share #22 Posted December 1, 2023 Received my JJC grip from Amazon.de today. It is every bit as good as Reynolds Young says: thanks for the advice! David
Domip Posted December 13, 2023 Share #23 Posted December 13, 2023 The JJC is fine except where the pinky rest... there it's to sharp. Too thin to make it rounder. Pity

Pity Maybe I have larger hands than you, but I rest my pinky underneath the JJC grip and find it very comfortable. It also adds to the stability of the Q3. Maybe something in rubber at the right place... Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! David Wien Posted December 13, 2023 Share #26 Posted December 13, 2023 (edited) Sorry, Domip! This is the best photo I can manage, but hope it helps to show what I do! The peak design adaptor usually attaches to the cuff. (I do not need to put the pinkie under my R6, though I can, and I cannot work out quite what the difference is.) NeilG Posted December 16, 2023 Share #28 Posted December 16, 2023 I returned the Leica wireless charging grip and bought the JJC and was not expecting quality. and half expected to return it. I was very pleasantly surprised by the fit and quality. I use RRS and Pro-media brackets on all my Nikon bodies and the JJC matches the quality at a fraction of the price. The only thing missing is QD for my preferred straps so I occasionally add a Promediagear PBX3 with the QD socket, but it has to be removed to change battery or SD card. ewanboonstra Posted September 20, 2024 Share #29 Posted September 20, 2024 I own a Q2 and I am looking for a handgrip. I like the padding on this grip that the Q2 version is lacking. I am wondering if the Q3 grip will fit the Q2 as well.

ewanboonstra Posted September 21, 2024 Share #31 Posted September 21, 2024 Thank you Paul, a little disappointing but good to know. Would you be so kind to elaborate a little on the differences that make these incompatible? thnaks in advance! Ewan.

The Leica Rear thump support has that protruding part that feels just right, for me. (not JJC here, but it's the same for me as I have tried that gip too) Welcome, dear visitor! I don't think it offers good protection - which is why I returned it
leica_kh Posted February 5 Share #36 Posted February 5 I recently acquired the Q3 and I was pleased to know JJC made accessories for it. I've used JJC for my various cameras and always appreciated their quality and thoughtfulness in their designs. This grip does no disappoint. One of the best aspects as the OP mentioned is the tapered opening for the SD card slot. I had also purchased a half case that similar openings on the bottom of it and the case did not have a tapered edge and it made retrieving the SD card a real issue. I returned the case. But with the JJC grip, I have no problems at all.

How does it compare to the JJC one you mentioned having? Have you used the OEM one before, if so, how does it compare to that. I have the OEM one and like it, but am looking at the IDS grip due to the lower profile and quick access to battery/card.

I have tried 4 for my Q3 and now Q3 43. The Leica with the wireless charging is nice but I need Arca Swiss plates for my video work. The IDS is the lightest of the four I own. The most recent and the one I have on my Q3 43 since December is from RRS. It's not the lightest, but it sure feels the most solid. I can close my eyes and mount it on my sticks, no problem.
