rayansb Posted November 4, 2023 Share #1 Posted November 4, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hey guys. I just got my Q3 and I had purchased with it the Oberwerth Q bag hoping I can use them on my trip to japan next month but unfortunately the Q bag is too tight with the Q3 if used with the lim half case (and I'm assuming any other case). I learned this after I had bought the bag and an email to oberwerth confirmed that the bag is designed to fit the Q3 body alone. so do you guys have any recommendations for a compact bag that can accommodate the Q3 and its half case? thank you! VoxFabiani Posted November 4, 2023 Share #2 Posted November 4, 2023 (edited) For me this bag is the best : https://www.photo24.fr/sac-delta-400a-fancier.html Compact but I can put inside the Q3 (edit : with Lim's half case), a flash Godox lux junior, a small case with 4 K&F ND filters and some other little stuff 👍 Edited November 4, 2023 by VoxFabiani
Le Chef Posted November 4, 2023 Share #3 Posted November 4, 2023 Peak Sling 3L takes my Q2 with a handgrip, spare battery and phone. And it looks anonymous.
darylgo Posted November 4, 2023 Share #4 Posted November 4, 2023 Assuming you want a bag similar in size, the Leica Billingham. Slightly bigger than the Oberwerth and quite flexible. The dimensions are on the website for comparison. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/287055-REG/Leica_14854_Combination_Bag_for_M.html/specs?ap=y&ap=y&smp=y&smp=y&smpm=ba_f2_lar&lsft=BI%3A514&gclid=CjwKCAjw15eqBhBZEiwAbDomEpI8QBStQWdtpqlOFpXtRm3wjueX9352rNwuGjFBJt-bP6kq7CpoMRoCDywQAvD_BwE
ChrisQ3 Posted November 4, 2023 Share #5 Posted November 4, 2023 Billingham make a bag, and the Q3 fits beautifully in it. https://billingham.co.uk/products/72-camera-bag_colour-black-fibrenyte-black-leather
Aram Langhans Posted November 5, 2023 Share #6 Posted November 5, 2023 I use the ThinkTank Mirrorless Mover 10. The Q2 and now Q3 fit perfectly and the two side pockets are all I need for a battery and cable. Front pocket holds a filter, cards and a few other goodies. I travel light with the Q and don't need any more stuff. My Q2 had the RRS L bracket and it fit just fine. Waiting for RRS to make one for the Q3. I wonder if they are available in the US? It looks like it would be perfect for an M body and a couple of lenses and stable enough for biking.

Sorry I can't tell you about availability in the USA, but I can confirm that it is very practical and comfortable (I use it a lot for photo hiking). Plus it is really inexpensive (45€) and durable : I've had mine for almost 6 years and it's still in excellent condition.

I guess the Lim's half case is bulkier or something. I mean it does fit the Q bag it's just too snug for my taste. Makes putting it in and taking it out a bit of a hassle. If I take off the half case it fits perfectly.
rayansb Posted November 5, 2023 Author Share #13 Posted November 5, 2023 Thank you all for your wonderful suggestions. I decided to give the peak design bag a try for now since it's reasonably priced.

Amazon did sell them at one time but they are now out of stock and no longer available. I've sent an email to the company in France. Maybe I can have them ship directly to me. FlashGordonPhotography Posted November 6, 2023 Share #17 Posted November 6, 2023 What's wrong with the camera and a shoulder strap? Japan is one of the safest countries in the world and a camera hidden is a camera not used often. Personally, I only carry a bag for *other* stuff like jackets or sunglasses. Go to your Leica dealer and get yourself a lovely long rope strap or similar and have the Q slung cross body, ready to shoot. Gordon

I can also fit my ipad at the back. The front pockets for odds and sods.
