Thanks Louis. This was with the CL and the TL 35 Lux.

Ahhh; that wonderful CL!  I miss it very  often and still blame Leica to discontinue it instead of developing it like Sony, Fuji and others are doing!….

I agree with you. From what I understand, since the CL in its "gestalt" was a one-off, it was too expensive (i.e. unprofitable, not competitive enough) to produce in the end, and therefore discontinued. No complaints about image quality, at all.

Am eyeing an SL type body right now, myself (the SL2-S). I'd like to try some M mount Voigtlaenders, such as the 75mm f1.5, or the Noktons. One step at a time...

From what I was heard from a friend in Germany Leica, Leica is working on a camera with L mount but smaller than SL2 (maybe SL3)! It may have a movable screen like Q3.

I wonder if our friend Jono is testing it right now; but he wouldn’t tell us anything! 🤔

That would be the consequential evolutionary pathway, indeed. Although I must say I quite like the angular dimensions of the present SL line. My S System isn't too heavy for me, either, I prefer some heft to my cameras. I do require sticky AF-C in my next system, though, it makes fashion runway photography (for example) so much easier.

I always used continuous AF; on both my CL and SL2. It is really very practical for street photography!

I also like better the angular shapes of Leica versus the rounded shapes of Japanese cameras; and frankly, the weight and size of SL2 are not bothering me at all, even now with a broken wrist. But I should also admit, I often miss my CL that was excellent and practical. If I didn’t have problems with the eye sensor and Leica America didn’t take over 3 months to fix and send it back, after many complaints, I would have never traded it.
