stuny Posted October 12, 2023 Share #1  Posted October 12, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) In Yangon we were the only Westerners to visit the sprawling fish market in quite some time, so we did not go unnoticed. Most notably, this lovely Burmese girl followed us around for quite some time, never interacting with us, but sticking close by. We eventually gave her a postage stamp size Polaroid photo of her. What's on her face is a powder made by grinding the bark of a Thanakha tree, which the Burmese apply to their faces ritually for cosmetic and heat fighting purposes.  Welcome, dear visitor! Louis Posted October 12, 2023 Share #2 Â Posted October 12, 2023 The color version works better for me for seeing the color on her face that is also matching with her shirt. Her expression also is very interesting. An excellent portrait. 2
hepcat Posted October 12, 2023 Share #3  Posted October 12, 2023 I agree that the color version is by far more interesting.  A superb portrait of a beautiful young girl! 1
