wolan Posted October 6, 2023 Share #1 Posted October 6, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, today I have upgraded my M10-R to M11. I have a Leica original handgrip on my M11mono, for the new M11 I'd like to buy something cheaper. Do you know any cheaper but good alternative? Do you know by the way this product? https://www.fruugoschweiz.com/fur-leica-m11-griff-griff-schutzhulle-arca-swiss-rrs-basis-handarbeit-fotokamera-leder-rindsleder-tasche-ganzkorper-box-case/p-227896978-486180996?language=de Thanks Cheers

dpitt Posted October 6, 2023 Share #2 Posted October 6, 2023 Did you ever try a thumbs up? I like them better on my M9 compared to a grip.

The grip you refer to seems not arca swiss compatible, which was for me a big plus. A thumbs up as suggested can work if you seek more grip and works great. Having said that, personally I prefer the handgrip for heavier lenses such as the noctilux or tele, and walking around with the camera in my hand ready to shot (e.g. street photography) I found it more comfortable and secure. Best, Marc Edited October 8, 2023 by DrM

Best, Marc Thanks. I have come to the conclusion that I do not need a second one. I can reuse the one I bought for the M11m. On contrary to the M10 hand grip, this one can be removed without removing the bottom plate, so it takes a couple of seconds to detach it from one camera and mount it on the other. Cheers. cj3209 Posted October 9, 2023 Share #5 Posted October 9, 2023 (edited) I bought two of these. Took a few weeks to deliver from overseas but they are, IMHO, the best and only hand grip case for the M11: they protect the body as well as provide a hand grip and an arca bottom plate as well as battery access; I got the half case version because I use the thumb grip. Really really great design. https://www.ebay.com/itm/165572420105?var=465100990760 Cheers! Edited October 9, 2023 by cj3209
