Hi

I have just bought a TL2. I think it's a design classic. What do people think is the best wide angle to use for mountain landscapes? I notice that the Sigma wide angles start at 14mm which is a bit larger than I would like. I used to use a 9-18 M.Zuicko on Olympus for example.

I see that Laowa have some fixed prime wise angles. Has anyone tried these?

Thanks

PS Are there any adapters for the TL2 that allow it to use other lens mounts?

Not exactly a landscape, but it would also do that nicely IMO

Thank you.

Photos taken with the CL and 11-23mm

Ok so this lens you mean...https://findingrange.com/2021/10/10/leica-super-vario-elmar-t-11-23mm-asph-review/

Is it better than this one

https://www.digitalcameraworld.com/reviews/sigma-14-24mm-f28-dg-dn-art-review

Latter seems more up to date but the 11-24 wider.

Ok lovely. Is that a wide angle at 21mm?

It is a vintage 21mm prime M lens, used with an M-L URTH adapter (manual focus only)

Ok donc cet objectif tu veux dire... https://findingrange.com/2021/10/10/leica-super-vario-elmar-t-11-23mm-asph-review/

Est-ce mieux que celui-ci

https://www.digitalcameraworld.com/reviews/sigma-14-24mm-f28-dg-dn-art-review

Ce dernier semble plus au goût du jour mais le 11-24 est plus large.

It's the 11-23 TL Super Vario Elmar Leica

Ok can you send me a link to that?

The lens is no longer introduction but it can be found if you are patient. An official dealer may still have one.

Great pic.

Can get it second hand:

The 11-23 is a great lens, I picked mine up second hand at the Leica store in LA. One of the best wide angles I have ever used.

Ok thanks. Good advice. I think I will rent the Sigma 14-24 art one and try it out. But yes I reckon the 11-23 is likely to be the best so will keep an eye on second hand prices.
