Chuck Albertson Posted January 24, 2024 Share #21 Posted January 24, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) I queried the darkroom guy at my local camera store today about the availability of Kodak chemistry. He said that the plant producing it (same as it ever was) won't start cranking it out until Jan 30 (don't know why that date, probably production scheduling), and that he's expecting product to start arriving in early March. He said they have a lot of it on order.

Awaiting developments 😉

Just processed a roll with the last drops of my last bottle of Kodak D76 stock. There's no more D76 available in the UK. I I've never liked ID11, so for me that's not an option. What is it about ID11 that you find unsatisfactory compared to D76? I know that D76 uses a different buffering system than ID11 but not sure what visual differences in the negatives or prints you have observed.

It’s the packaging I dislike. Completely irrational and personal viewpoint with no merit outside my own darkroom. I happily use many other Ilford products, film, chemicals and paper but the graphic design on the packaging of their powdered developers drives me nuts! Getting close with the R09, although a mid 80's bottle of Agfa Rodinal would have me weak at the knees. 😁
Pyrogallol Posted March 6, 2024 Share #28 Posted March 6, 2024 I did inherit an old bottle of Rodinal, probably 20+ years old, it worked fine. The one in the picture is only a year old.
Chuck Albertson Posted March 12, 2024 Share #29 Posted March 12, 2024 Happy days - stopped by the local camera store today, and they had Kodak chemistry back in stock. D-76/Xtol/Dektol/fixer/hypo clearing - all the major food groups.

Could be from the 90's. For the second I would guess late 60's or 70's. Still working! Welcome, dear visitor!
