kengai Posted September 9, 2023 Share #1 Â Posted September 9, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am at the first experience. I found myself inside a church in low light conditions. The videos very underexposed, practically black. Several trials of settings, but nothing changed. What are the correct settings?

frame-it Posted September 9, 2023 Share #2 Â Posted September 9, 2023 how about: posting a still frame from the video? what settings did you use and try? which lens were you using? Â Â
jaapv Posted September 9, 2023 Share #3 Â Posted September 9, 2023 In general, churches have very bright windows. If the exposure metering picks them up, your image/video will be underexposed severely.
LocalHero1953 Posted September 9, 2023 Share #4  Posted September 9, 2023 (edited) For the reasons @jaapv gives, use manual exposure. Shoot at a slow frame rate and slow shutter speed to match (e.g. 25 fps, 1/50s). Take stills at this shutter speed; open aperture and increase ISO till the stills look right. Use these settings for video. And as @frame-it asks, if you want us to tell you what you're doing wrong, tell us your settings!
