cboy Posted January 5, 2024 Share #21 Posted January 5, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) The evf offering for the m240 is not as near as clear/bright as the Leica/voigtlander brightline finder. Even compared to the rangefinder Imho. If you're not using wide lens an alternative is to use the Leica magnifier eyepiece with diopters which is a worthwhile investment for aging eyes. The last option would be switching to the sl system with a better evf overall.

If correcting the eyesight is not an option, I would try the EVF. The ability to magnify the image allows precise focus but is slow. Before my cataract surgery I tried both the 1.25 and 1.4 magnifiers and did not find them much help. The cataracts caused loss of contrast in my eyesight so possibly the magnifiers would work better for you. If you use corrective diopters on the camera eyepiece you may find that you will need a different strength with the magnifier.
