I like the poses and Viki is a great model. My only criticism is that the background is so bright and large that it completes for attention. Whatever the background is, I think interesting shots could be made of just it.

i take your point sir 😁 in my defence, the tree thingys actually glows, i had to use an off camera light just to get light viki properly 🤓

i'll dig up the companion set of colour image which might give a better sense of the space.

i should add most of my work are urban portraits - which means there are usually always at least 2 subjects - the person and the urban space

This is a lovely set.  What follows is not a criticism but a general observation.  It’s about hands and the role they play in portraiture.  I have of course portrayed hands even in quite closeup shots but generally for me, a prominent role of hands can prove to be a distraction from what we are really interested in - the face.  Just a thought.

Very nice. My favorite is the first one posted, the BW with her hugging her knees. I like the BW much better then the color. I don't think the color adds anything.

I like the bright BW glow of the posts; they combine with the model to make an interesting photo.  In the end though it comes down to opinion and yours is the one that matters, If you are happy with it, then it's a good photo.

the 1st image is prob my fav from this location (under a freeway), viki's pose is awkward and reserved. it really conveys the physical sense of alienation from this space 🤓
