bradreiman Posted November 15, 2007 Share #21 Posted November 15, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) well since you're using this forum for economic advice (this thread really doesn't belong here) why don't you pay the forum back by selling it on the "buy sell" section of this forum. forget about profit. take into account the money you made off the camera and adjust the price accordingly-sounds fair to me. you better sell it quick though because you're losing money by the minute...brad
Advertisement Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 Hi bradreiman, Take a look here Best Time to sell my M8. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
charlesphoto99 Posted November 15, 2007 Share #22 Posted November 15, 2007 I sincerely hope that you will NOT make profit!!!! I can understand that you do not want to lose money. But if your goal is to make profit, go and purshase some gold / euro bills / play on the stock market. But PLEASE leave us free of speculations!!!!! Some people like me waited months to get an M8 not because of a lack of money, simply no stock at that time. So if you bought for speculation purpose while other could have used your camera, please stay on eBay and do not bother us here. And if you bought your M8 to make pictures why do you speak about profit????? only NOT losing money is an ethical way of seeing things! Eric Sheesh, calm down! Some of us buy and sell photo equipment - that's what we do. If something doesn't work for us we sell and move on. And the original poster never said anything about buying for speculation (or anything bad about the M8) - he just wanted to know if he might be able to make his money back since he bought at original price. I'm sure he didn't buy the camera originally in order to spite somebody else. How insulting (and self centered) of you to even think that. Sorry Eric, but maybe you should stay off this forum if you can't stop being all righteous and mad - it gets old (you've done it before). I may end up selling mine but I don't know yet (will decide once it's back from Solms). That doesn't mean I'm insulting you or anyone else, and would continue to use my M7 and retinue of lenses. It just means that I feel the M8 is a far from perfect camera and there are many options out there to work with. I also shoot Nikon, Mamiya, Rolleiflex, Hasselblad. thompsonkirk Posted November 15, 2007 Share #23 Posted November 15, 2007 You can still get a Leica-refurbished 'demo' with a 1-year warranty for $4295, so used nes must be worth less than that.
j. borger Posted November 15, 2007 Share #24 Posted November 15, 2007 ...I surely hope so! 40.000 euro sounds quite a lot even for a Leica Even under Euro 4.000 ..... yes....

Eric Come on, Eric, the guy is replacing it by MF gear, hardly a speculative transaction. This is uncalled for.
