It is squishi. It is as intangible  as the word rendering. It is visible but not measurable. And just my personal experience.

Ah, too much to hope for, I suppose ... as in, what's one person's organic is another's dull. And a third person's flt DR. :)

But there is a file limit so this is a reduced jpeg... I don't know how good can be the comparison... Anyway here they are... Cropping only of bottom and top part to obtain a 6:12 ratio, same in both. Thanks!

Yes, which is which? Can you tell?

This was my initial question: I was expecting a clear difference (2023 vs 2012 and 60 vs 18 mb)... but I don't see it...

well I don't know which is which, you must know. Number one certainly looks a lot sharper, but whether that's from focusing, processing or whatever who knows.

Ok... I was curious of your thoughts but here are mine:

In terms of BW pictures made with Leica Q3 and CCD Monochrom, the difference in sharpness for well lit scenes at base iso seems to me not significant. I was surprised, and this is why I opened the discussion.

Obviously there are a lot of other differences that matter, and I love the Q3 for all those.

Thanks to all the participants in this little exchange!
