Noticed two M10s on FredMiranda have gone unsold for $3800 with box and everything. Think we'll see ~$3500 by year end?

Meanwhile used M11s are around $7000, and M10-Rs aren't too far away at $6000, but the M11 is the better buy with the more recent tech for just a grand more.

If anyone is interested (no affiliation with the sellers):

Yes. Somebody else who follows prices.

Prices are dropping on the M10's, M11's, and Q's and Q2's. Real bargains exist if you don't need the latest and greatest. And maybe go lower. I follow Q2, M10-R, and M11 prices on eBay just because I like to know what SOLD prices are doing.

Here is the eBay sold and completed for M11's today: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_dmd=1&_nkw=leica+m11+camera&_sacat=31388&_sop=15&_stpos=02151&_svsrch=1&LH_ItemCondition=1000|1500|2010|3000&rt=nc&LH_Sold=1&LH_Complete=1

I'm not going to go into detail on the Sellers, the merits or lack thereof of eBay.... I just follow the prices casually unless I am buying. I did miss an M11 shipping in the US for $3500. But I had just picked up an M10-R for $5,000. The one that got away.

But for me it is more about taking the pics. Not about the latest and greatest. And not chatting on and on about eBay and where I would buy, and..... all the rest.

Have fun shooting the photos!

The buyer thanked the seller for the great condition, reported that the camera arrived in first class condition as described, and thanked the seller with the highest seller rating. ALSO, eBay has a full reimbursement of the item does not arrive as described.

Maybe the buyer is the seller rating themselves to set up ripping off the next buyer…

Just curious. 1. Have you or would you ever use eBay?  2. Do you only buy from Leica stores or website? 3. Do you buy from national, regional, or local camera shops?

I like eBay better than Amazon and have bought a range of goods from them. Always had a good experience. And you can see what people are really paying for goods. Maybe you can do that on Amazon also. In this case, I am not recommending eBay but using it to show sold prices. After all, asking prices don't mean anything. I do pay asking price at the Leica store, usually just contact them with messaging. Actually never been to the Leica store. I have video chatted with the store people. I stay in Bali, Indonesia and the store is in Jakarta on the island of Java.

I have bought from all of 1-3, and the Classifieds on this forum, and not had a bad experience - so far. On ebay I always research the seller, and usually buy from businesses with a separate online shop or bricks & mortar shop. I buy from UK for preference, but from mainland Europe if choice is limited. I have a family member in Brussels where I can have stuff posted to if I'm not in a hurry.

Still a scam.

For those following prices on m11’s, would you try to get a mint used one (prices seem to be around $6800) or take an offer for $8050 for a new one from an AD? Trying to wrap my head around whether the new experience/no warranty concerns outweigh the 1k difference. Also, hearing the m11p is around the corner, which I’m guessing I can get for around 8800 imported from the EU. Anyway appreciate some opinions!

I have bought from Leica stores, independent camera stores and eBay.  Never Amazon.

I've done very well on eBay over the years.  Never been burned on Leica gear regarding quality or price.  Didn't rush and did my due diligence before buying.  Many eBay sellers are online stores who will want to maintain their reputation.  Have bought less from eBay in recent years but that may be because I have finally run out of GAS 🙂

I recently bought a really nice, almost mint M10-P for $4700 from a seller on Fredmiranda.com.  I've never had a bad experience with buying from members there.  They're quite self-policing, and they're JUST camera people... not someone who just finds a camera in a closet.   I've been on eBay buying and selling since 1998, but it's gotten a LOT worse for sellers.  I'm at a place I'm not sure I'm ever going to sell there again.

Amazon is interesting.  You have to pay attention to who is selling there... Amazon itself or a small business.  Some of the small business sellers are a little shaky.

Was it this one? https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1822010

Seems like M10-Ps are back to under $5000 now.

https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1822946

And M10-Rs are hovering around the $5500 mark.

As someone who would love a digital M, but the prices are out of their budget, this is great news.

As the prices come down I've been starting to consider a M10 body. The selection of wide lenses I use on the film Ms and barnacks don't always agree with the Sony I use for most of my digital stuff.  I'm really hesitant to take my chances with eBay, but maybe it's worth considering.  Local Leica store prices (SF) are still $4500+.

I'm using strictly Canon Serenar brass/chrome LTM lenses on my M10-P.  You won't be disappointed in the M10's sensor.

I made a WTB post in another Leica related forum a few weeks ago looking for a nice user condition m10. I had several people reach out in the $4200 range but also a few sub $4000. I ultimately landed with a nice condition m10 (nicer than the seller described even in my opinion) that came with the box, paperwork, chargers, 3 batteries, and a thumbs up grip for $3700 which I was pretty happy with. I saw one listed the week before in similar condition with only one battery and a CLA from early January of this year go for $3650 if I remember correctly.
