MEC Posted August 7, 2023 Author Share #23  Posted August 7, 2023 Currently mentally bringing the M6+ 21mm. B&W and color reversal. Let's see if I stick to it. The M10R has a habit of completely dominating trips.
Huss Posted August 7, 2023 Share #24 Â Posted August 7, 2023 I'd just take the M6 + 28 and leave everything else. Â Leave the Barnack. Â Leave the digital camera.
MEC Posted August 7, 2023 Author Share #25  Posted August 7, 2023 Only bringing the one. 28 is lighter and "Easier" but when the 21 hits, it really hits.

Pick one camera and lens combination and stay with it.
Eclectic Man Posted August 8, 2023 Share #27 Â Posted August 8, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Firstly, check out the thread on carrying film through airport security:Â Â Secondly, whilst Stonehenge is big, you are not allowed to get very close to much of it. Â In a 21mm image, it could actually appear quite small. Whatever you decide, I hope you enjoy yourself and get some nice photos.

Huss Posted August 8, 2023 Share #29  Posted August 8, 2023 I'm serious about the one camera, one lens thing.  It is so freeing.  No juggling, no carrying extra stuff.  Using what you got in the best way.  It will also improve your imaging skills. Whenever I go out for a day shooting, I always only take one lens/camera combo.  Even though I have  lot of stuff.  And never regret it.

Will likely be attaching a 21 summilux, or 28 summicron. And a Barnack ii in the back pocket. Thanks! Michael I would go with M10R + 28 Summicron and leave the Barnack at home. First time in Venice? First time in Stonehenge?

This may go against the one lens I usually bring and what everyone thinks is a great idea, I need something more respectable for Stonehenge. Barnack will be homebound lol Edited August 8, 2023 by MEC

Those look amazing but sadly wasn't able to get it for my timeframe. That will likely bring me back one day. Then the 21mm will really come in handy.

earleygallery Posted August 8, 2023 Share #37 Â Posted August 8, 2023 One camera, one 28 or 35 will be enough. At Stonehenge you'll get fairly close but it might be difficult to get any shots that don't have other people in them. You might get your best shots from further away. Venice is going to be rammed. You'll get the usual tourist shots for sure but maybe you're better looking for the more unusual subject matter.
earleygallery Posted August 8, 2023 Share #38 Â Posted August 8, 2023 You could also think about doing this. https://www.sarsen.org/2013/11/channel-4-walking-through-history.html
madNbad Posted August 8, 2023 Share #39  Posted August 8, 2023 My favorite picture from Venice. Not technically great but considering it was  taken with an iPhone 7 with no adjustments. The gondolier is holding a deck of cards with a friends business logo on them. I offered him some cash but he did it for free.  Welcome, dear visitor!
