A couple of years ago, I was in contact with a photographer who lives in upstate New York, it was he who told me about Flipping the Bird. One of Robert's many intriguing projects is the one "What does it means to be an American" and I've been mulling over adapting it with a UK slant. I like the intelligence and humanity that is at the heart of Robert's work, a very decent human being.
