Forgive me if this is covered elsewhere, I looked but couldn't find anything.  I am wondering if anyone has used/installed one of these before?

Leica Q3 Protection Skin Cover Wrap (alphagvrd.com)

I ordered one for my new Q3, the video makes it look easy to install, but don't they always!  I found various levels of brassing on my Q and Q2 when it came time to find them new homes, and this looks like it just might be the answer.   Thoughts?  Experience, good or bad??  Thanks.   Happy shooting.

Looks easy, as you say; also looks like a good protective idea. You can also fit as little or as much as you like.

I have seen another similar item somewhere but  can't remember who makes it

I thought that brassing was impossible on the Q (and Q2/3)-no brass.

Yes, for want of a better term.  My last on started showing the metal on the edges after about a year.  I have to confess, I do like the green skin though.  I ordered it, so, if I get through the installation I'll post an update.

I use the skins on a bunch of my Sony lenses and bodies.  They are fun and do offer some cosmetic protection at the same time.

I suppose if I had a non-Reporter I would consider one for the Q2 but the finish/kevlar is literally a strong reason I went with the Reporter.  No case/half case or skins for the Reporter for sure.  :)

For protection I use for my other cameras a half case and simple, cheap black linen tape. Does the job as well, no need to spend 50, 60 bucks on adhesive tapes that even do not protect the edges well.

Sorry, just gotta ask...do you guys bubble rap your kids??

Only the highest grade U-line branded bubble wrap for my non-existent kid. For the non-existent dog, I prefer brown paper wrap.
