tappan Posted June 30, 2023 Share #1 Posted June 30, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) For your information, if you get a line through your photo(s). If it seems like a dead pixel(s)....... With an M10 and M11, one can receive an emailed firmware update from Leica after they have mapped-out the problem by viewing the image. IMPORTANT... With an M9, that cannot happen. Camera has to go back to Leica for service. This just happened to me. Leica NJ gave it a CLA and fixed the dead pixel problem. Was not a fast delivery back to me, but not crazy slow, either. Came back perfect!! Mark

TomB_tx Posted June 30, 2023 Share #2 Posted June 30, 2023 I had a red-line dead pixel on my original M9 sensor that would show up in previews, but when dng was converted in Lightroom the line was “healed”

A dead pixel would be a black line. Sometimes they unstick.

The sidecar jpeg is what is shown on the LCD. if it wasn’t in the files when you opened them it probably was on the camera screen.
