I want to take off the lens hood on my Q2 monochrome and attach a Clear Filter to protect the lens. My question is can i attach clear or uv filter to Q2 monochrome without affect image resolution? Thanks

of course, just buy an excellent one with nano coatings.

But you better off buying a yellow, orange or green filter instead. Just to boost the contrast.

You can also buy the new Q3 ventilated hood, which will make changing colour filter easier.

I find an Orange filter to be the best compromise for general use on digital Monochrom cameras. The effect is much like a mid-yellow on film.

Go B+W for a filter. They are clear, UV, yel, or and red. Clear will zero effect on resolution..
