nodrog Posted June 25, 2023 Share #1 Posted June 25, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) The Nakajima Library, in Akita International University, Akita, Japan. Designed by Japanese architect Mitsuru Senda, and winner of multiple awards. Beautiful interior, but, unfortunately, severely restricted for photography. When I asked if I could take pictures, I had to sign a form, wear an ID lanyard, and agree to take only three pictures! There are plenty of better pictures on the internet, but here is the best of mine. (Should have brought the 21mm tbh) Welcome, dear visitor! war Posted June 25, 2023 Share #4 Posted June 25, 2023 Very nice. It's getting more difficult all the time to be permitted to take interior shots. I was even prevented from taking exteriors of a building in London and another in Quito. Let's see the other two.

I'm sure they were simply fed up with sightseers blagging their way in and taking multiple snapshots of the place while students were trying to study. Welcome, dear visitor! How nice for Senda to give a library such a sense of importance and grandeur.
nodrog Posted September 24, 2023 Author Share #7 Posted September 24, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Another from this amazing library. Different time of day, different angle. Autumn term has not yet started, but some are already taking advantage of the space to prepare for the coming academic grind. Welcome, dear visitor!
