I could not find a thread dedicated to the Leitz Minolta CL.

I bought one recently with three other regular Leica CLs, along with the 40mm Rokkor lens to go with it.

I tested it out with Rollei 400 Infrared film. These are copies of some darkroom prints.

Very nice! I picked up a used Leica CL w/40mm Summicron in the late 1970s and it became my main travel vacation camera. Gave great results. Also picked up the 90 f4 C lens - equally good. Loved the light weight setup. Had the sticky meter repaired a decade ago, and it's still doing fine.

I remember a Leica rep telling our camera store about the CL project back in about 1969, that they wanted a return to the small travel camera like the original Leica. It took a few years later for the product to result in the Compact Leica (CL), and by then the market position of Leitz had changed, and new management would go after a more professional product, Eventually focusing on the pro SLR. I think they should have stayed with size limits like the CL...
