Ivan Goriup Posted June 11, 2023 Share #1 Posted June 11, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) Spent the last few days in Yellowstone N.P., mainly for wildlife photography and more specifically to test the new Leica Vario-Elmar 100 - 400mm telephoto lens with, with 1.4 extender. In order to avoid one inch of freeway traffic on the way home we drove northwest and stopped in the tiny village of Alder, where a group of local enthusiasts had gathered for a fill-up and espressos in preparation for a brisk early morning drive in truly magnificent surroundings. The 16-35 S.V.E. on the SL is really securing a treasured place as a fabulous performer among all the Leica gear I've owned over the last 63 years....what a fantastic lens. Ivan Goriup Posted June 11, 2023 Author Share #3 Posted June 11, 2023 Virtually original 1956 Chevrolet Bel-Air 2-door hardtop. The stock motor has been replaced with a 1957 Chevroet 283 cu. in. V8, bored .030" over, with headers, Isky cam, some headwork, and Borg-Warner 4-speed box - what a splendid example of truly American hot-rodding. JZG Welcome, dear visitor! stuny Posted June 11, 2023 Share #5 Posted June 11, 2023 Ivan - Lovely, as always. I'm also a sucker for the 56-62 'Vettes, partly due too their relatively small size
Lelmer Posted June 11, 2023 Share #6 Posted June 11, 2023 (edited) Very nice series. I love those cars. We are just missing the sound...or should I say the music 😊 Edited June 11, 2023 by Lelmer
