The photo was taken in London, this woman was with her husband, both German and they had been to an art collectors’ exhibition. I didn’t ask their names but I’ve nicknamed them Helmut and Helga. At the time, what intrigued me was the lady’s outfit: rather masculine hat and jacket, what looks like an under slip for a skirt and robust boots that seemed to have had designer dust applied.
