Kim Dahl Posted June 2, 2023 Author Share #4 Posted June 2, 2023 Yes definitely. Even my Leica M9 takes good pictures. But I have to admit that I always fall a little in love with special e.g. black paint. There is also more built-in memory in the Leica M Monochrom - which probably also comes in an M-P. But really, all cameras take good pictures today. It doesn't even have to be Leica. My Nikon D800E is also ok. But the market is such that in order to sell more, you improve each model with small things and we customers jump on it every time... 😂🫣

For portraits to 24x16” or even 30x20”, its rendering really is beautiful and very “natural”. A lot to be said about that specific sensor and pixel count, in hindsight. For some subjects, especially portraits, I’m not sure the technological advances always added that much to image quality that I personally like!
Jewl Posted June 3, 2023 Share #6 Posted June 3, 2023 Would really doubt this will be happening this year as the M11M and Q3 were recently released. This would be too much in a short time frame! They still need to Have further ammo to stretch this through the overall product lifecycle 😉

I think he was referring to the internal memory upgrade and sapphire screen cover that the M11M has over the M11.
mediumformula Posted June 23, 2023 Share #8 Posted June 23, 2023 I believe the M10 P had an quieter shutter sound than the M10. Does anyone know if the M11M has a quieter or more dampened shutter than the M11?
elmars Posted June 23, 2023 Share #9 Posted June 23, 2023 Same sound on M11 and M11M 1
colint544 Posted June 23, 2023 Share #10 Posted June 23, 2023 Guess it will look something like this. Sapphire screen and 256K built-in memory? Maybe black paint? The P versions on the M9 and M240 were paint, but they seem to be restricting that option to only very special editions now. Welcome, dear visitor! charlesphoto99 Posted June 23, 2023 Share #11 Posted June 23, 2023 It would be absolutely ludicrous for Leica to release a ‘professional’ model of the M11 until they resolve the freezing issues once and for all, even if they are rare-ish. Otherwise it would just be putting lipstick on a pig, so to speak.

I think you are spot on regarding the aesthetics but what's got me somewhat perplexed is the innards. Safe to say gone are the days when a sapphire screen and no red dot was enough to get a "P" designation. the only direct clue we have now is from the M11 Monochrom, with its 256gb of internal storage and ahem, a sapphire screen. Safe bet we will see both on the 11-P but dare I hope for the Maestro IV processor in the Q3? it would be a first for Leica to upgrade the processor mid-cycle but then again the M10-R with its mid-cycle resolution bump was a first.
rxj Posted June 23, 2023 Share #13 Posted June 23, 2023 Talks are at the end of the year for M11-P (allegedly).
adli Posted June 25, 2023 Share #14 Posted June 25, 2023 According to my dealer, the M11P will be released already this autumn, and it will have the same sensor (naturally for a P-version).
DBounce Posted June 26, 2023 Share #15 Posted June 26, 2023 Im hoping for something interesting. Maybe a stacked sensor and some video capture capability. That would make it a very interesting variant.

M9 is a capable camera with one limitation I can’t find solution ( shutter sound is louder and I was taking photos inside a quiet temple and I felt a bit embarrassed as shutter sound altered the subject who stared at me with unpleasant face ). I still have M9 which is for family photos and I am now looking for M10-P for street photography.
