Leica Q3 function buttons different height?

I’ve noticed the two buttons next to the thumb indent are different depths. The leftmost one is similar to the one on the Q2 but the one to the right is nearly flush. Anyone else have this?

At least according to one online reviewer, the rationale is so you can tell which button is which by touch.

Yes, same here. As per above I think its to allow you to tell one from the other easily without looking. The one nearer the viewfinder is slightly raised and the one nearer the shutter button is flush.

This is normal and intended. Indeed you can instantly feel with your finger tip which button you tough without taking the camera off the eye.

great, this whole concept of remembering left and right was a bit much for me anyway.

Good news!  I thought it was a manufacturing fault but at the same time suspected this answer which indicates the thinking going on in Wetzlar in trying to get the camera as near to perfect as possible.
