Asterox Posted May 28, 2023 Share #1 Posted May 28, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) I’ve noticed the two buttons next to the thumb indent are different depths. The leftmost one is similar to the one on the Q2 but the one to the right is nearly flush. Anyone else have this?
Advertisement Posted May 28, 2023 Posted May 28, 2023 Hi Asterox, Take a look here Leica Q3 function buttons different height?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
beewee Posted May 29, 2023 Share #2 Posted May 29, 2023 At least according to one online reviewer, the rationale is so you can tell which button is which by touch.
Tobers Posted May 29, 2023 Share #3 Posted May 29, 2023 Yes, same here. As per above I think its to allow you to tell one from the other easily without looking. The one nearer the viewfinder is slightly raised and the one nearer the shutter button is flush.
M11 for me Posted May 29, 2023 Share #4 Posted May 29, 2023 This is normal and intended. Indeed you can instantly feel with your finger tip which button you tough without taking the camera off the eye.

XMan Posted August 7, 2024 Share #6 Posted August 7, 2024 Good news! I thought it was a manufacturing fault but at the same time suspected this answer which indicates the thinking going on in Wetzlar in trying to get the camera as near to perfect as possible.
