It's been my great fortune to have met Samy on multiple occasions, he's a wonderful subject and has a kind of chameleon-like ability to change appearance and outfits. I'll be posting some more. The background is street art, part of a Sumo wrestler's belly and wobbly bits.

Beautiful portrait.

"Wobbly bits?" 😁🤭😁

Wobbly bits, a polite expression for titties otherwise known in London Cockney rhyming slang as Bristols, short for Bristol Cities.

The slang is two words but abbreviated to one so “that’s a great Whistle’ is short for a Whistle & Flute = Suit.  Apples = Apples & Pears = Stairs.  Sometimes both words are kept so Trouble & Strife = Wife.

David

PS I wouldn’t Adam & Eve it = I wouldn’t believe it.  Not used much these days, a Cockney is someone born within the sound of Bow Bells.

Not long before taking this shot I’d just watched a Sam Abell video in which he described advice given to him a a boy by his photographer father “Compose the picture Sammy and wait”. That’s what I did and the strange coincidence is the names are identical.  This was the second time I’d photographed Samy but didn’t recognise him from the first time.  He is a fantastic subject and we became good pals.
