Battery time of course varies by what settings you have on and how you are using the camera, but current reports are saying to expect 350-400 pics/charge. If you're going on vacation and planning to be out all day using the camera, I would recommend having a backup (and some extra cards if shooting at 60mp). I have also found that over time some batteries wear down faster than others, so for me, it's far worse to miss the shot because of a dead battery, than to spend a few extra bucks on a backup. I do not chimp, do not use AFC, do not leave it on much between shots. I had similar results on my Q2. Stephen_C Posted October 18, 2023 Share #1073 Posted October 18, 2023 As I've commented before elsewhere on this forum one thing that seems to make a significant difference to Q3 battery consumption is whether or not you have paired the camera with your phone using the FOTOS app. I deleted the pairing and battery life immediately improved significantly—particularly when I was not using the camera (the rate of discharge of the battery while the camera was not being used then dropped to virtually nothing).
