Side note: Contacted customer support over why my delivery was coming later than what I paid for: turns out the shipping department overlooked the shipping types and sent it ground instead of 2nd day air. I was going to order a black one for mine (if I ever order one) but that looks so good. It’s one of their regular straps, not a Leica specific one. You might be interested in my latest article in Petapixel featuring images I shot on the X-T5. My only reasons for getting the Q3 are nostalgia and age. I started in photography as a kid using a WWII vintage rangefinder and the first rangefinder I bought was a Leitz Minolta CL. The Q3 feels a bit like a modern version of my old CL as a carry-it-with-me-everywhere type camera. As far as X-T5 goes, I also own the 23mm 1.4 WR (v2). It's a stellar lens but large and heavy compared to my 35mm 1.4 v1. And of course you have a plethora of other lens options. Congrats on the X-T5! Having owned SLR Cameras and Digital Cameras from Canon, Nikon and Sony I decided to go ‘stealth’ with the Leica Q3. I was lucky enough to buy the dedicated Wireless Handgrip and have added a Rope strap together with a Peak Design Hand Strap which I’ve attached to the Grip tripod socket. A Red Dot shutter extension button rounds things off. I’m just deciding wether to add the Thumb Grip but will see how I get on without it first. I’m really looking forward to putting the Q3 through its paces and reading of helpful hints, tips and information from fellow Q3 owners. The collar is to rest a relaxed index finger on. A twitch of the finger releases the shutter without motion blur. I tried this as a comparison when the Camera was received and it seems that one’s shutter finger needs to be pressed fairly deep to initiate shutter release. With the added button release it seems more responsive and natural. But… the proof is in the use… and I will compare shutter release performance as I go.
