Australian War Memorial - Canberra.

This is a hard photo to grab as this area is flooded with tourists all day. What you cant see are about 12 people behind camera about to invade the frame and 3 people walked into the memorial in the distance. A case of staying composed and waiting until the scene was clear.

I know the frustration you describe! and the photo is magnificent. But I do sometime debate with myself whether we should just put up with the people. The absence of people makes the photo look more forlorn -- though in this case more appropriate than in others -- but the presence of humans would indicate that those memorialised are not forgotten by all, except the gardeners.

National Cathedral in Washington DC. A lot to photograph inside and out. Overwhelming indeed.

I used Exposure Bracketing and just Highlight Weighed Metering. This camera captures and retains a lot of details in shadows, so, along with Lrc’s “AI de noise”, I would stick with “one shot and done” in most cases.

Some were shot at F5.6~8, ISO ~50,000 (my max)
